If you enjoy this blog, I think you will also enjoy my newsletters.
Posted from time to time, they are a different format than a blog.

…..how so?

Newsletters come directly to your e-mail box.
Some are announcements of sales or sew alongs or special events.
Some link back to the website to a special page and are like a mini-magazine, chock full of tutorials, photos, insider tips on patterns, book recommendations, favorite websites and links and more.
These e-mail newsletters are run by Emma, a special e-mail program.
In order to receive these e-mails you must sign up directly from your computer….sorry, I cannot do this for you as this system is designed to eliminate spam.
Please click on the link below to sign up, and pass this on to any friends who might be interested.

Here is a link to my most recent newsletter:
The archives go waaayyy back to 2006.
The earliest were so primitive they were text only.
See for yourself:

Going to OZ
I'm off on a big adventure, leaving tomorrow for 3+ weeks down under in Australia, up around Cairns and to the Whitsunday Islands.
Visiting old friends, relaxing, soaking up the heat and sunshine and staring off into space.

A copy of this Wayne Thibault painting hangs on my frig and brings to mind what I imagine it looks like there.
Out of touch with the world, 5 days sailing in the Whitsunday Islands.
I am not a 'boat person', so this puts me out of my comfort zone….a good thing!
I WILL be blogging, posting new fabrics and composing a New Year's Newsletter, so do please sign up above for the newsletter, and watch this blog and FaceBook for future posts and updates.

Wishing you a joyous and creative holiday season from my studio to yours,
Marcy

  2. Sounds like a great break. Remember you can't swim in the ocean at this time of year without a full wetsuit because of the blue ring octopus. Its a deadly stinger.

  3. Great that you are coming to Australia. The Whitsundays are beautiful and the Barrier Reef is fantastic. Make sure you do some snorkeling. If you are hitting Sydney in the next couple of days, it is going to be absolutely sweltering. Bring all natural fibres and loose styles. Cotton and my favorite, linen. Leave anything lined at home. If the heat doesn't get to you the humidity will! But most of all, I hope you have a terrific time catching up with your friends:)
